13.1 miles done! I ran the St. Jude 1/2 Marathon in Memphis. It was great weather and a lot of fun. I was proud of finishing it and ran it in about 2 hours which was my goal! Glen and the kids were there to meet me in the end.

We spent Thanksgiving in Birmingham at my cousin Melanie's house. Here are just 6 of Granny Baughn's 15 great-grandchildren. After Melanie's we headed to Aunt Susie's house and then headed down to Meridian for a late night dinner with Mama Linny and Aunt Lynn at Cracker Barrel... The holiday train continues!

Halloween 2010

We had a great time on Halloween this year. We went trick o treating with the cousins and Amelia and Houston made super cute pirates. When I was getting them ready I put a mustache and beard on Houston and Amelia demanded that she also have a mustache:) She also drew her own face on her pumpkin that I cut out for her. At the end of the night I was putting Houston to bed and noticed I had not heard a peep out of Amelia since we got home. I found her rustling under her bed. She had gotten a flash light and her candy bag and had it all spread out under her bed. What a little sneak!

Dance class Halloween

Glen's Baptism

Glen got Baptized, the real deal, October 24, 2010. He was sprinkled as a kid but now we can officially join the Baptist Church. It was great for our 10th graders in our life group to see him making his profession of faith. I also got Amelia out of the nursery to watch. She was really confused when she saw daddy on the big screen.

We had a great time in Sea Grove this year. Shanna, Hollynn and Bella joined us for the whole week and Dusty came for a few days. The girls really enjoyed the beach this year, Houston did not mind the sand and water but hated the heat! We went the first week in September, maybe next year we will wait until October:)

Houston is sitting up really well now. He can even reach out and grab things. Amelia, again, became concerned that she was not the center of attention while I was taking pictures and put on a show of her own! She loves a camera!

Nashville Trip

We went for a visit to Nashville and got to see my friends from high school, Anna and Ashley, and their kiddos. Anna had Sloan the day after I had Houston, but Houston has about 5 pounds on her:) She may be smaller but Sloan is a lot more mobile that our fat boy. She actually rolled over on top of him! Emory and Amelia had fun holding the babies but Walker didn't want anything to do with the camera.

Amelia got to feed Houston rice cereal for the first time. He was not really catching on very well so I had to take over. We tried and tried but he really was not too interested and then decided to throw up what he did eat later that night. I guess he just wasn't ready.

We made the trip to Meridian for our annual family 4th of July party and got to introduce Houston to everyone. Mama Linny was especially excited to see her first great grand-son for the 1st time. We ate, swam and played our traditional BINGO game for lots of fun prizes! Amelia even started floating on her own with her arm floats, I am very proud. She also had a little shoot out with daddy and some water guns:)

Here are some preliminary photos of Houston's 3 month photo shoot. It was slightly interupted by his sister who awork early from her nap. She was a little upset we had not invited her to take pictures too and insisted on joining Houston in his photos. Next time we will be slipping her some benadryl to extend her nap time!

Bumbo Seat and TV

Houston is already able to sit in his bumbo seat. I can not believe he is already 3 months old. Amelia loves it because he can sit and talk to her now. She also likes him to watch TV with her, see picture above.

Amelia decided it was time for Houston to eat with a spoon, pretend food of coarse! She does this a couple times a week when she gets board now. Houston actually opens his mouth when she puts the spoon up to his lips. Either that or she is prying it open with the spoon. Maybe she will be able to feed him the real thing in a couple months:)

Gulf Shores was beautiful while we were there. I am glad we got one last family vacation in before the oil hit the shores. I am not sure if we will be able to do this again. We all enjoyed ourselves, especially Amelia. She loved playing with her cousins Daniel and Miriam and really loved being on the beach this year. Houston was not as enthusiastic about the beach. He spent most of the time in the shade asleep:)

The Sprinkler Attacks!!

First of all I would like to say this event occurred at 7:30 a.m.!! That's right, the sprinklers came on and good ole dad said " look Amelia, the sprinklers are on, you should run through them in your swimsuit"! There was no encouragement needed, she was in her room 2 seconds later putting her suit on and Glen was headed out the door to work. This is not my idea of fun first thing in the morning!

Here is an update on what we have been doing the last month! It goes by so fast. We have been at the park, pool or beach almost everyday. We tried to enjoy the cooler weather while it was here. It's starting to get too hot to do much of anything!

I know what your thinking, I already posted this picture. This is actually a daily activity at our house. You can really tell how much he has grown and is looking around now!

Mother's day at the Hawsey house. Houston slept through most of it. He is 8 weeks old in this picture.

Glen and our neighbor Brad participated in our neighborhood's bass fishing rodeo. They did not win but they caught a bunch of fish and the girls had fun on the space jumps.

Hollynn and Bella came over and we broke out our pool from last summer. We will see how long it lasts this summer, it already has a slow leak.

Amelia decided to play mommy with 2 of her baby dolls and Houston. I had put him on his play mat and he fell asleep so Amelia covered him up and then brought her 2 dolls to join him. She was pushing one in the swing and patting Houston and another doll on the bottom. If you can't tell there is a doll under that pink blanket. She is such a good little mama:)

My sweet friends and awesome neighbors threw a sip and see for Houston last Saturday. We had a great time and everyone got to see our little man. I was very proud he behaved himself the whole time. I thought this was really funny. Last night we were eating dinner and Amelia got down to take her scraps to Shade, lucky dog. She opened the back door and gave Shade her treat and then left the door open. Glen told her to close it because we did not want the bugs in the house. She then began to wave her hand in the air yelling "come on bugs, come on bugs, out" as she shooed them out the door. So cute!

Thursday we all went to Porches in Wesson, MS. It is a hour away from our house but worth every mile! It was my sister Hanna's birthday and that is where she wanted to eat. We also picked up some cookbooks so we can recreate their fantastic food at home.

Since my family was in town for the week I decided to get some shopping done. This was one of our purchases, the ocean wonders play mat. Amelia thought Houston needed a demonstration on how it works. The Easter bunny came while we were at church on Sunday:) Amelia was excited to see she actually got a chocolate marshmallow egg, we rarely let her have candy. We got to see the Easter bunny in person at the egg hunt but he made her nervous so we decided not to force her into a picture this year!

After the Easter egg hunt we dyed some eggs. Amelia loved it, she dyed them, painted them and rolled them in glitter. They were gorgeous!.. and so was she. Good thing they dye washed off before church the next day. Houston chose to for go all Easter activities and hang out with my parents who were in town for the week.

Amelia really got into the egg hunt this year. Glen helped her work out her egg hunting strategy and she even found a golden egg! They also had some fun games and prizes this year. Her favorite was pin the tail on the bunny, but she wouldn't wear the blind fold. I was really impressed with the whole event this year and the weather was great too!

Hollynn's Princess Party

Amelia got to go to her first Princess party for her cousin Hollynn. All the little girls dressed up in there princess outfits and had a fun time making crowns, watching Cinderella and eating princess cupcakes. Glen and I both went and brought Houston. He stayed in the car seat or my sling most of the time.

Houston's First Week Home

Houston had a great first week at home. He slept through most of it but lately he has started opening his eyes and crying:) Amelia loves having a little brother. She still doesn't understand he can't get up and play but she loves holding him. We even figured out a set up with the boppy that lets her hold him by herself. Houston hated he first bath. I can't wait for his cord to fall off so I can put him in the water instead of giving him a sponge bath.

My First Time Alone

Here is an updated picture of our handsome man. Believe it or not this is how he looks most of the time, asleep. This is a drastic difference from Amelia who fights sleep to this day. Yesterday Glen left me alone for the first time with two kids. He went to the grocery store and wal-mart. He was only gone 2 hours but it felt so much longer. Amelia was good at first. She wanted to hold him and sing him songs at the top of her lungs, seriously loud! She really can't understand the whole sleeping thing or the fact that he could care less about a pacifier. Anyways, it was time to change his diaper and she wanted to do it so I told her she could help. I laid everything I needed out so she could hand it to me as I asked for it. We have to act fast with Houston because he enjoys peeing on everything, the kid is like a sprinkler system. Everything went smoothly at first, I asked for a wipe, she gave me a wipe. I asked for the butt paste, she gave me the butt paste. I asked for the diaper, she said NO! Then she ran around the coffee table, me sitting there holding his legs in the air and his bottom covered in butt paste. I begged and threatened and finnaly she gave me the diaper, but it was too late. I was covered in a large amount of yellow poo. All over my white shirt, robe and pants. I was pretty mad and told her to sit in timeout while I cleaned up. I put a towel over the family jewels, there were no diapers where I was sitting, and ran to the sink to wash the bulk of the poo off and spray my white shirt hoping it wouldn't stain. Then I noticed Amelia was not in time out anymore so I told her to get back and don't move. She obeyed but neglected to tell me she needed to pee which she did all over the floor. So there I was with no clothes removeing the cloths of my 2 year old and hurrying back to Houston who has now peed on himself as well. Hopefully this is not a precurser to the next several months!

Houston Marion Morris was born March 16, 2010 at 1:05pm. He is 8 lbs and 19 inches long and bears a striking resemblance to his big sister. We were a little nervous about how Amelia would react to the new addition but she seemed to take to her big sister roll quickly referring to him as "her baby". The delivery went smoothly and a lot faster than we expected. My wonderful friend Amanda was my baby nurse and did Houston's transition period in the room for us. She even let Amelia come back before Glen brought Houston out so she could be the first to see her new baby brother. After the birth my mom and aunt took Amelia back to Nashville so Glen and I could adjust to having a new baby again. She is coming back tonight and we can't wait to see how the next couple weeks go as she gets to know her new brother.

I am a little more nervous this time because I am only 38 weeks and 5 days and last time I was almost 41 weeks. Of coarse last time I had a gianormous baby so hopefully this one will be a tiny bit smaller! I will be posting pictures a soon as I can.

Just thought I would update everyone on whats been going on around the Morris house lately. I am about 4 weeks into my new part-time work/ full-time mommy position and have really enjoyed it. I work every Friday and Saturday and get to spend the rest of the time with my perfect little Amelia! We have found several fun things to do during the week like Mother Goose on the Loose at the Madison Library and play dates with our neighbors and cousins. Yesterday my neighbor Brandi was nice enough to take Amelia on their "nature walk" with her kids. They collected leaves, rocks, Styrofoam, ect. and made a beautiful work of art entitled "Things God Made". I found the Styrofoam rather humerus:) Amelia is now officially potty trained! No accidents for 1 1/2 weeks, that includes #1 and #2. She even wears her panties at nap time which makes Glen extremely nervous for some reason. I am so proud of her, she lets us know when she has to go and sometimes she just goes and does it by herself. There is a down side to this potty business though, she now can not stand to be in a wet diaper and wakes up in the middle of the night for us to change her! Who would have guessed that would be a problem? I am happy to have potty training out of the way though. I am now 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I will be induced March 22nd, but I plan on having this kiddo before that. This pregnancy has been much different from Amelia's. Besides the fact that the baby feels like it could fall out at any minute, I can't sleep, have to pee every 5 seconds and have shooting pains in my hips and legs when I walk! It will all be over soon though. Can't wait to meet our new little one and find out what he or she is. I kind of wish they came with names like cabbage patch dolls, they might not let us leave the hospital if we have a boy... we are now open for suggestions on this matter!

Valentine's Day Cooking

I wanted to do something fun with Amelia for Valentine's Day so I decided we could make cookies. I rolled out the dough and she did a pretty good job of cutting them out with the cookie cutters. I did have to doctor a couple of them. After I iced them Amelia decorated them with sprinkles and M&M's. I was really impressed, the majority of the sprinkles were actually on the cookies and she did not put anything in her mouth!

Aunt Debbie's Visit

At the end of January Glen's Aunt Debbie came to visit. We have not seen her in several years and she had never met Amelia, Hollynn or Bella. We decided to see how she would do giving the girls a bath. Aunt Debbie never had children and the girls definitely took advantage of that! If you can't tell by the picture Aunt Debbie is soaked from the neck down and over half of the bath water is actually on the bathroom floor! They look so innocent in their pj's:)

I don't usually write a whole lot on this blog, but after a certain event 2 days ago I felt the need to share. Amelia and I had just arrived back from the grocery store. It was very cold outside, 37 degrees by my car thermometer. I decided to unlock the front door for Amelia so she could go inside and I would go back to get the groceries out of the car... bad idea. I decided I was going to carry all the bags so I had an arm full as I was walking back to the house. To my dismay, Amelia had shut the front door. I would now have to put everything down and open it again. Unfortunately I underestimated the abilities of my 2 year old and found the door to be LOCKED! I looked down to see a pair of large brown eyes glaring at me through the glass on the door and then noticed my keys and cell phone sitting on the table inside. I requested politely for the door to be unlocked, but my politeness was met with an almost angry "NO!" I requested again, this time not so politely, and again I received a "NO!" followed by a couple more "no, no, no.." and my darling daughter trailed off into the house. I was just a little upset at this point and began to look for an alternate route in. I looked through windows to see if I could get a glimpse of the mischief that was occurring inside my house. With no other way in and no sign of Amelia, I went back to the front door and knocked. I was happy to see her running back through the house to the door. I was not met with the same excitement. She looked at me from behind the glass as if I was the one in trouble and uttered that single annoying word once again... "NO!" I began to threaten this time which only made matters worse and she once again retreated back into the house. My only option at this point was to hope that my neighbor was home and would allow me to call Glen at work. But before I tucked my tail and ran I decided to give this one more try. This time I rang the door bell, she loves ringing the door bell. She ran to see who it was, again disappointed to find me there again. I smiled at her as if she had won and said "Amelia, do you know what I have out here? I have groceries. And do you know what is inside the grocery bag? FRUIT SNACKS!" Her expression dramatically changed as if to say "fruit snacks, well why didn't you say so, of course I will let you in". She ran to get a chair and quickly unlocked the door... and lets just say she didn't get fruit snacks:)

Bella's Birthday

Last Saturday was Amelia's cousin Bella's 1st Birthday. It was a heart theme and everything was so cute, and yummy. The girls enjoyed cupcakes, and so did I. It is hard to believe Bella is already 1. She is walking just as good as the big girls now and sometimes I mistake her for Amelia. The 3 of them look more like sisters than cousins!

It is all over, we have had five Christmas' this year and it all ended at our house with the Morris Family. Aunt Sherri got the girls pretty white rocking chairs and Uncle Kevin and Aunt Lori got them handmade dolls! What a treat! We had a great time seeing every bit of our family this year, but I for one am glad it is over!

Christmas Day in Brentwood

Santa came! Amelia must have been a good little girl this year because Santa treated her very well. It must have taken him hours to put all those toys together! We had a great day at Grandma and Grandpa's. Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Jodi, Daniel and Miriam came over to play and open gifts. We had a fun filled day of children pooping in their pants and falling down stairs. By the end of the day Miriam fell half way down the stairs, Amelia ran into the dinning room table and busted her lip and nose, Daniel ran into a chair, and they all pooped in their pants!

On Christmas eve we left some treats for Santa before going to bed. Amelia gave all her pacifiers to the baby raindeer and we have not seen them since! We are very happy to be rid of them but now we have a thumb sucker!

We went through Birmingham on the way to Nashville as we do every year. We stopped at Aunt Susie's first and had a little lunch and then made our way to Aunt Gingers house for the Baughn Family Christmas. Granny Baughn has 12 great grandchildren with number 13 and 14 on the way. Next year we should just have it at a playground!

We went to Meridian for Aunt Cheryl's Annual Christmas Party. Amelia was very entertaining, to say she had a sugar rush is an understatement! We spent at least 20 minutes on the stairs while she posed for the camera. She kept saying she wanted to "cheese again". She did slow down enough to sit with Mama Linny for awhile and talk. We also got to see Glen's cousin Todd and his wife Leanne. Our due dates are only 2 days apart.

On Saturday after Thanksgiving we traveled to Birmingham to see Granny Baughn. We had a great Thanksgiving Lunch and got to visit with a lot of family we haven't seen in a while. Amelia had a great time playing with all her cousins, some of which she has never met!

After two years we finally decided to get rid of the curly mullet that Amelia has acquired. Because Glen cuts his own hair I thought him the best one for the job, but I was mistaken. I tried to fix the damage but we have been left with a shorter than desired bob! It looks cute, but we will have to for go pigtails for awhile.

Amelia had a great time trick-o-treating this year. We started off the night with our neighbors, the Barkers, and their two kids Emily and Ethan. We joined up with a little hay ride around the neighborhood but quickly retreated to our backdoor neighbors golf cart because our little ones were slowing down the pace. Amelia quickly caught on to the rules of trick-o-treat and even had her first taste of real Candy! She wasn't even afraid of the spooky decorations or costumes we encountered. After we had our fill of treats and cold weather, we headed over to visit with Cousins Hollynn and Bella for pictures and yummy chili. Hollynn was Snow White and Bella was a butterfly. And if you didn't guess yet, Amelia was a peacock!

Fall is in the air!

On our first cold weekend of the fall my parents and sisters came for a visit. Amelia helped Glen make us a nice fire and we attempted to roast some marshmallows. I am happy to report there were no injuries by my sister Hanna did almost burn my face off as she pulled her flaming mallow from the fire! We had a great time and good food as always.

The 1st Morris Family Beach Trip

The last week in September we took our first Morris only family beach trip to Sea Grove, FL. We had a great time, the weather was perfect and the water was warm. Amelia played on the beach the whole day. She even took a couple naps out there. She help glen build sandcastles and played in the water non-stop. I was very impressed when she even wanted to go out into the waves. We are so thankful to have a child that loves the beach as much as we do. It was nice to get away just the three of us, especially since we have one on the way.

Labor Day Zoo Trip

Labor day The Morris' joined the Hembree's for a fun day at the Zoo. It was Amelia's first experience around wild animals and she was amazed. We end the trip a little early because she was getting so tired, but she did manage to muster up some energy for the petting area. She was especially drawn to the goats! She immediately fell asleep when we got in the car, but she woke up when we got home to enjoy some watermelon.

I honestly can't remember what we did in August! It went by way too fast. We did go out and celebrate Glen's Aunt Sherri's Birthday! Amelia and cousin Hollynn had a fun playing in Adam's new Mustang. Amelia also helped me make a chocolate cake for Aunt Sherri!

Pigtails and Pregnancy

Ok, this picture is actually from July. Amelia finally has enough hair for pig tails! I am so excited we can say good-bye to the days of "he so handsome" and look forward to "what a precious little GIRL"! After we put Amelia's hair in piggys we took Glen to our favorite place to eat, Trace Grill, to tell the big news. That's right, we are having another Baby Morris! And if you are wondering, no we are not finding out what it is!

The Joys of June and July

I would love to share all the pictures I have of the fun things we did in June, but they have all been erased. I accidentally deleted all the picture on my camera, but I only had a few pictures on the camera so I was not too upset. I did erase the pictures of Amelia's first Ole Miss baseball game at Trustmark Park! She had a great time until the 9th inning. Then she was ready to hit the sack. I also had pictures from the 4th of July. We spent the day in Meridian with Glen's family playing the annual bingo game. When we got back we stopped by Carol Ann's house for fireworks. This is one picture I am so happy I didn't erase. Amelia LOVES her cowboy boots. She dressed herself in this outfit and posed for the camera.

Memories of May

. In may we went to Gulf shores, AL with my whole family. It is our annual Memorial day and week following trip. We had a great time with beautiful weather. Amelia enjoyed playing in the sand this year but was still weary of the water. She had a few brave moments but preferred to be in the pool! Glen and to leave early, but Amelia and I stayed the entire week. Can't wait to do it again next year.

While most of the time Amelia prefers to be naked with shoes only, she made an exception tonight. She accessorized herself with daddy's cell and cell phone clip. She actually clipped it on to her diaper herself, just like daddy!

This year we woke up early to go to the 8 o'clock service at church and then hit the road to Meridian, MS to see Glen's family. We had a great time visiting with everyone and of course eating all the wonderful food. We don't get to see them as much as we would like so it was great to have a whole day to visit.

Hollynn spent the night tonight. I wish it was just for fun, but it was because her little sister was sick and Shanna and Dusty were at the hospital with her. Bella is fine now and Amelia and Hollynn had lots of fun playing, bathing, eating and riding the horse! They both slept great till about 4 am when they both end up with me and Glen in our queen size bed. Needless to say I was curled up in a ball at the bottom of the bed by the end of it.

Reunion hosted our neighborhood Easter egg hunt this year and invited the Easter bunny! I was excited to see Amelia's reaction to him this year. After her experience with Santa I was not expecting a great picture. She lasted a little longer this time. She checked him out for a couple minutes, then she decided she still did not like men dressed up in strange outfits! I will admit, he was not the friendliest looking bunny I have ever seen.

Beach Time

My family came down from Nashville to visit for the week. We went to the beach at the lake in our neighborhood a couple of times. One afternoon Amelia's cousins Bella and Hollynn came and played with us. Amelia was so sweet to Bella and greeted her with a kiss. It was warm outside but the water was pretty cold. That did not stop the girls though. They both went strait in with their cloths on. I had to take Amelia's off because they were getting wet.

Hollynn's 2nd Birthday

We have been loaded down with Birthdays and baby showers lately! But we would never miss Cousin Hollynn's 2nd Birthday. It was a lot of fun, but there was not a boy to be found in our sea of girls. The Girls played outside on Hollynn's new play set, blew bubbles and drew with sidewalk chalk until it was time to eat pizza and decorate cupcakes. Then we ate cake and opened presents. It doesn't sound like that much but we were worn out! Hollynn loved it when we sang her Happy Birthday and she did not mind opening presents either. Amelia took a great nap that afternoon!

Amelia went to our friends Carmen and Justin's little girls 1st Birthday today. Sela and Amelia haven't met many times but they quickly became friends. Sela even let Amelia take a ride in her new BMW with her new doll. Poor girls both look just like their daddies!

I took Hollynn and Amelia to an Easter Egg Hunt my friends Carol Anne and Bethany had for them this weekend. It was the first time Amelia has ever hunted before and I must say she picked up on it very quickly. We had to be fast though, the chocolate was melting quickly. Hollynn was the first to fiqure out there chocolate hidden in the eggs. She is very smart! They also made us lunch and some cute little bunny cookies. They were Amelia's favorite!

Amelia is sick... Again! She has an upper respiratory virus and another ear infection. She was weezing a little at the doctors house so we did some breathing treatments at home. She pretty much screamed the whole time. She really hates that mask. Glen tried to entertain her while the treatment was going. It helped a little.

Hollynn came over for another visit today. Her and Amelia played with our neighbor's kids. They have a 4 year old boy and a little girl Amelia's age. They were so stinky I gave them a bath when they came in.

Paul and Stephanie's Engagment Party

Glen and I got dressed up and went to our friends Paul and Stephanie's engagement party tonight. It was nice getting to relax and have fun with just adults for a change. Amelia stayed at Aunt Shanna's house while we were gone. The party was great; we got to see a lot of friends we had not seen in a while. Stephanie is my hair dresser and did my hair the day before. She even spray tanned me, I thought it look great:)

We watched the Super Bowl at our friends, Wayne and Sally Black's house this year. They grilled out some yummy food for us. Amelia enjoyed playing with their Cocker Spaniel, Nova. She was so worn out she fell asleep on Nova's bed. Yes, I know she has her face in a dog bed and I made her get up after I took the picture:)

Bella Brooke Haley was born December 29th, weighed 7 lbs and 11 oz and 19 inches long! She is so beautiful with a head full of brown hair. I am a horrible aunt and forgot my camera when I went to the hospital to see them. They are home now so we stopped by after church and took some pics. Amelia and Hollynn enjoyed playing while we visited. With Glen's supervision, Amelia took a ride in Hollynn's new baby doll stroller she got for Christmas.... need I say more!
