Aunt Cheryl's 4th of July Party

On the weekend after the 4th of July we rode with the Haley's (Shanna, Dusty and Hollynn) to Meridian to the annual 4th of July party and his Aunt Cheryl's house. On the way there we put Hollynn and Amelia's carseats next to each other. They were so sweet holding hands and sharing toys. We had great food and Aunt Cheryl's and got to see alot of family we don't get to visit with that often. After we all ate, we played BINGO! It is a tradition... Aunt Cheryl goes and gets lots of prizes and everyone plays. Amelia also got to see Mama Linny, her great grandmother. We had a good time but we were all exhausted by the time we got home!

Look how fast Amelia is growing, she is already 6 months old! She can sit, rock back and forth on her hands and knees and even has 2 teeth! What a big girl.

Gulf Shore with the Baughn's

We went to Gulf shores this week for our annual Family Vacation with the Baughn's. Usually we go Memorial day week but this year I had to work so we moved it back a week. Everyone was there: Grandma Cathy, Grandpa Bruce, Aunts Katie, Hanna and Jodi, Uncle Jonathan, cousins Daniel and Miriam, and of course the Morris's! We all stayed together in a condo right on the beach and spent our time basking in the sun and playing in the water. This year, since there was a couple more babies involved, we would come in from the beach early and go to dinner. It worked out perfect because we hardly had to wait for a table at dinner and by the time we got back to the condo it was cool enough and still light enough to play on the beach a little more... or in the pool. Amelia really enjoyed the sand, but was not a big fan of the ocean. She found her happy place under the tent and in the pool. We even had time for a photo shoot on the last night. I was determined to get a family photo of the Morris Clan. It was a great trip; Amelia has become an experienced traveler.

Anna and Jerz's Wedding

Amelia and I traveled back to Nashville for a fun filled wedding weekend. I spent Thursday on the boat with the Walkers and the Bridal Party! We had so much fun eating, drinking and relaxing. We have done this for each one of our friends that has gotten married! It is such a fun tradition. On Friday I went to the bridesmaids luncheon at the Factory in Franklin. The food was fantastic and we all looked beautiful. My mom and sisters came along to watch Amelia and my friend Ashley's kids Walker and Emory. They played at the paint your own pottery studio during the party. That night we had the rehearsal and dinner. Katelynn was my date because Glen couldn't make it and neither could her boyfriend Trey. Katelynn was the best date, I miss hanging out with her now that we live so far apart. On Saturday we got ready to give Anna away at her wedding! Well, I guess her dad gave her away, but it felt like we did too. After the church wedding there was a small reception in the fellowship hall and then it was off to the real party at an amazing house up on a hill in Brentwood. We had dinner, a DJ and a whole heck of a lot of fun! My mom and sisters came with Amelia and then were kind enough to take her home so I could enjoy the party with my friends! We had a great time. The next day we went to visit my Brother and his family. We had to get one last glance at Daniel and Miriam before we left, they grow so fast and I did not know when we would see them again.

Amelia Loves Peas!!!

Amelia says God made peas and they were GOOD! Can you believe it! Amelia has become a great eater, she is even trying to feed her self. Mommy has to strip her down before meal time though, bibs just don't do the job. This the first time I actually let her play in her food. She tried to put the spoon in the bowl and up to her mouth but most the time the food did not make the journey. It was fun getting to watch her make a mess!

On our road trip back home from Nashville, Amelia and I stopped at Granny Baughn's house to say Hi. She cooked us a yummy lunch as usual and Aunt Susie stopped by for a visit. We could not stay long but we were glad to at least get to visit for a while.

To Nashville We go...

Amelia and I took a long weekend and traveled to Nashville to see her new cousin Miriam and to play with Emory and her new friend Walker. Emory and Walker are my high school friend Ashley's two adorable munchkins. Emory is 2 and Walker is brand new! Amelia and Emory had fun playing with tissue paper! Amelia is just learning how to sit up! After visiting with them for a while, we went to dinner with the family. My brother Jonathan and his wife Jodi have two munchkins. Daniel is 2 and Miriam is brand new.... sound familiar!! We had a great time eating at Pie in the Sky with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts Hanna, Katie and Jodi, Uncle Jonathan, Cousins Daniel and Miriam and Jodi's mom and dad......we took up most the restaurant. I don't think Miriam liked the food much, maybe that is why she is crying in this picture?
